FEMA Camps Conspiracy by Amaya Lynch

Is the world headed towards a one world government? Only time can tell. Though it seems as if the government is already preparing for this to happen. Few people know this, but a secret government called the Federal Emergency Management Agency, has been preparing to start this new world. They have built camps to weed off the population to start a world in their own image. A world they can rule with no opposing force to stop them. It is thought that even now, our residing government has little to no control over them. Meaning that, there is no one and nothing that can stop them. Not even the Constitution of the United States.

Many people have come to wholeheartedly believe in the use of FEMA Camps as concentration camps. A major contributor to these beliefs is Alex Jones, the filmmaker and radio personality. He has dedicated his life to speaking out about so called conspiracy theories. You see what kind of person he is and his opinions on government run sectors just by the titles of a few of his films. For example: Are you practicing communism? Police State 3: Total Enslavement, Terrorstorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism, and The Obama Empire. One of his most well-known films would be Loose Change; the film that was later said to be “the bible for people who have chosen to believe that 9/11 was an inside job” (Zaitchik). This film asks the questions that society has not had a chance to ask themselves such as: Why are the not any pictures or footage of the plane that crashed into the pentagon?, Where are the flight records? and the infamous question of Where was George H.W. Bush at, at the time of the attack? (Jones). Loose Change really goes to show that Alex Jones believes that the government is hiding the true facts from us, and this is the root of the FEMA camp conspiracy. Conspirators who believe in the FEMA concentration camps choose to believe that the government is hiding the true intent of the FEMA sector (Creekmore).

Alex Jones also created the film Police State 4: The rise of FEMA. In this 2010 film, he explains “that this government agency has been building internment camps all over the United States, for purposes that include detention of U.S. citizens” (Walbut). Not only does this film further show his thoughts on the government, but also further explains the FEMA camp theory. Jones really focuses on the discrepancies of the government. He refers you back to official government documents and websites so it is possible to further research the topic after the film concludes (Walbalt). This film really shows that Jones does his research and educates himself on the topics he so very strongly believes in.

Another place you can often find Alex Jones, is on his radio show, answering calls from concerned members of the community, and any others who have something to say about conspiracies. One day of listening to his show and you are bound to hear one his outburst against anyone who believes in the government system. He once lashed out at these believers saying,

A lot of bad things happen. And yeah, you're gonna have paranoid schizophrenics that get set off by the crazy things corporations and governments are doing, and by those who are exposing it to them. But we can't allow ourselves to become paralyzed. If a schizophrenic takes three hits of acid in the forest and sees demons in the trees, and snaps, do you cut down the trees?(Jones)

Alex Jones is quite the professional. He has had his fair share of time in the public light and will most likely have much more. Though he is quite the communicator, he also has an interesting temper, sometimes making it hard to agree with the thing he says.  He is quick to attack anyone with disagreeing views, scaring people into believing whatever he chooses to believe that day. Alex never fails to turn everything around to government run organizations such as FEMA. FEMA is the bane of this country and Alex Jones is the one who is going to prove it.

The interesting thing about the FEMA Concentration camp conspiracy is that each part of the conspiracy goes hand in hand with the other. The root of the conspiracy is that FEMA intends to abuse their power to move large masses of people in a state of emergency. When they move these people into abandoned Walmart’s, juvenile detention centers and outlet malls, the next part of the conspiracy explains what they will do to people who are held up here. When the facts from one theory clearly finds reason in the next element, it is easy to believe in all aspects of the theory. Though the FEMA Concentration Camp may seem very straight forward to some people, others may find that the actual facts have no correlation to the conspiracy. To easier understand this conspiracy, the following is a breakdown of each of the aspects of the theory itself.

The most important aspect of this conspiracy theory is the FEMA organization itself. FEMA is an acronym that stands for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, ran by the Department of Homeland Security. Their sole mission “is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate all hazards” (FEMA). What rings the alarm in the minds of people are the words found in section 6.1 of their Cyber Operations, Capstone Exercise 2014, where it states that FEMA has the federal power to “satisfy the requirements for a national level exercise as described in the Post Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act” (FEMA). This could translate to meaning that FEMA has government sanctioned power to move large masses of people in the case of an emergency. This is ultimately how FEMA will be able to transport large groups of people without being questioned.

The second piece of the FEMA Camp Conspiracy theory happens to be the camps themselves. FEMA has official camps set up across the United States that are meant to be used in emergency circumstances (MRC). Many of these sites are old Juvenile Detention Centers and other large scale holding centers, including Walmart’s. In a quick search of the internet, a video was found where you can see military vehicles and government workers on the outside of these abandoned Walmart’s(Mikkelson). Another chain of buildings that are being raised to question are the Tanger Outlets (Stanford). The setup of the outlets have been compared to the setup of the Nazi Concentration camps. From the layout, to the large towers in the front of these outlets that are said to be “used for the national security state, likely housing cameras surveilling and recording everything surrounding them” (Intellihub), the Tanger outlets raise a lot of concern.

Something that is not well known about the FEMA Concentration Camp theory is that people have found large numbers of disposable caskets that are said to be used for the disposal of the bodies. Landowners have stated that “the CDC is leasing land in order to store the strangely large amounts of coffins on their land” (MRC). A man that recently traveled to one of these areas, captured footage of the mountains of disposable coffins. This tape raises the question, Why does the government need thousands of disposable coffins?

Non-believers may not understand why someone would chose to believe such an outlandish theory when in actuality, conspiracist could ask them why they wouldn't believe in the theory when there has been so much evidence found that their beliefs are justified. The only aspect that is really called to question about the theory is why they are putting citizens into the camp. Due outside knowledge, a guess would be that it has something to do with the New World order and weeding off the population for the entrance of a new world (Truther). In order for this theory to be turn into something legitimate, this question must be answered.

After given all of the previous information, fifteen people were asked the question: Do you believe that FEMA intends to use concentration camps on American residents? All of the poll takers had never heard of the FEMA Concentration Camp Conspiracy and were very interested and entertained by the information that was given to them. It turns out that most of them only saw the conspiracy for its entertainment value and not its logicality. Only two out of the fifteen people surveyed believed in the FEMA Concentration Camp Conspiracy theory. This means that on average, 13.33% of the people actually believed this could be true. This is most likely due to the fact that this conspiracy goes against everything the government wants us to believe. The FEMA Camp conspiracy is telling people that the organization that should protect them in a case of emergency, plans to abuse their power and cause us more harm than good. This could quite possibly be the answer as to why, nationally, so few people believe this conspiracy to be true, and why it is in fact a conspiracy.

Though the FEMA Concentration Camp Conspiracy is not the most well-known conspiracy theory in the world, it is still very thought provoking. Even after many months of analyzing this conspiracy, there are still pieces of the conspiracy that still evoke some questions:

1.      Is FEMA using their power to participate in unconstitutional activities?

2.      What is FEMA planning on using their camp sites for?

3.      Can we trust the government to protect their citizens if they are put in harm's way?

One can only hope that the people who are meant to protect them, are really willing and able to do their job. FEMA is meant to protect their citizens and their true intentions are being called into question. Though we hope for the best, no one will know the truth until FEMA is put to the test.
