It was September 11, 2001, when over 3,000 innocent lives were taken. These devastating numbers included more than 400 police officers and firefighters (“9/11 Attacks”). This mass murdering event has many conspiracies following it such as:

1.      Did Al-Qaeda high jack the airplanes?

2.      Was Bush involved with this? Was it an inside job?

3.       “Aluminum Planes Can’t Penetrate Steel Structure Of World Trade Center” (The 11 most compelling 9/11 Conspiracy Theories)

Let’s further our education about this day by seeking out the different conspiracies and putting together the similar information to find out what really happened on September 11, 2001.

George W. Bush, brownish grey hair, deep blue-grey eyes, 6-foot-tall, and was born on July 6, 1947, was the forty third elected president in the year 2000, and at the age of forty-one he was the president whose actions did nothing to stop the tragedy that happened on September 11, 2001.

George’s character was beyond questionable in the eyes of a United States citizen. First of all he is described as a friend of Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind blamed for 9/11 (Green). Bush and his family had been family friends with the Bin Laden’s for many years before the tragedy. Bush worked along side of Osama’s dad in a construction business as partners (1). Does this have anything to do with the terrorist attack on 9/11? Many people, such as the majority of the United States citizens, questioned Bush’s judgment on the situation especially after finding out that not only did he know Osama, but he had been friends with him for many years. Why would Bush allow 9/11 to happen? Was there a conflict of interest?  This terrorist attack gave him an excuse to start the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Both of which were illegal (Green). It is believed that he was capable of committing this act because of these wars he started shortly after. United States citizens say it’s because if he is able to start a war that’s unnecessary and risk our troops lives then what is the difference between that and allowing thousands of innocent American citizen’s to die? Even though there were only about 2,996 killed and about 6,000 wounded, this event led to thousands more deaths in Afghanistan and Iranian wars (Harden). The Bush administration was in charge of using the resources they had and protecting the United States citizens. Yet, no action was taken. George W. Bush was preoccupied with watching a class learn how to read rather than doing his job as president. There is proof of this in multiple videos on the internet.

At the point when Bush heard about the second tower being hit, he had to make a decision on what should happen. He should have been swift about this, however he decided to finish his reading lesson with the class he was visiting (Rocketboom). The look on his face conveyed he was nervous, yet no action was taken. In a video, there is straight evidence of when he was told about it and he did absolutely nothing (Rocketboom). People’s suspicions arose after this video was released because how could he just stand there and do nothing when terrorists were attacking his country? He knew cameras were watching him yet that didn’t change the way he reacted at all. The CIA, the White House and the Pentagon did nothing to stop the terrorists from attacking New York and Washington. George W. Bush is commander and chief of this country and his plan of action was not what was expected.

Since September 11, 2001, there has been many assumptions made about what actually happened on that day. Some blame Al Qaeda, or George Bush, or even blame the entire Muslim religion. None of which have solid evidence proving their cases.

Al Qaeda is a terrorist group who was at one time run by Osama Bin Laden. This group was “broad-based militant Islamist organization…. founded in the late 1980’s” (Al-Qaeda). Ever since they have been attacking the United States. On September 11, 2001 it is believed that this terrorist group high jacked four aircrafts, two of which hit the world trade center. One of the other aircrafts ran into the pentagon and the last one was later found crashed in a field. There were five hijackers. They have been identified as Hani Hanjour, Khalid Al-Mihdhar, Majed Moqed, Nawaf al-Hazmi, Salem al-Hazmi (September 11^th Highjackers Fast Facts). “” reports that there was possibly some identity theft because they interviewed with one of the supposed hijackers.””(1) This would not have been possible because everyone on the four aircrafts passed away. Another suspicious factor was that the trail that was left behind by the hijackers was too clean and obvious. The luggage “contained much incriminating material, including a handheld flight computer, flight simulator manuals, two videotapes about Boeing aircraft, a slide-rule flight calculator, a copy of the Koran, and Atta's last will and testament.61” (Griffin). 

Why would they have the flying equipment and the will and testament in the same bag? If the flying equipment was meant to be on the plane, the will and testament would have also been destroyed when the planes were demolished. Also, why would the most important things be left behind? The hijackers would have been more careful with that specific piece of luggage. It would not have been just left behind. It looked good for society because it gave them ease to be able to blame it on these individuals, but in reality it was quite fishy. The in individual in the group Al Qaeda hate anyone who is not Muslim and they truly believe their leader has called out for them to kill anyone who does not have their beliefs. It is logical to believe that they committed this entire attack. There is plenty of evidence also proving it, but a question that is left behind is, was there anyone else involved? Was there someone on the inside who helped this plan of attack be successful?

Some Americans get offended when George W. Bush’s name gets brought up in association with the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. This could be because they saw him as a true, wholesome, and honest president. Although, they were uninformed that he was closely associated with Osama Bin Laden, leader of the the group Al-Qaeda. Their fathers had been business partners for many years. Who better to help out with a terrorist attack then the president himself? Or why would the president do this to his country?

Questions could go on for days about the association of George W. Bush and the attack, but what was found to be most concerning was that Bush took little to no action when he was informed about the first tower being hit. It was almost like he was not surprised. In fact, he was not surprised. “The commission’s timeline revealed a consensus that the target lay outside America’s borders. The one prominent exception came in an Aug. 6, 2001 briefing document written by two CIA analysts. They titled it "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US."” (Greenberg) In this document they explained to the president that this group was planning on attacking the world trade center they were just unsure of when. This should have thrown up red flags to George W. Bush. This was given to him a month prior to the attack, yet no extra security measures were taken. George W. Bush had no intentions of informing the United States of these suspicions. If this attack were to occur and he was interwoven with it without anyone knowing, it would make him seem like a hero after getting the nation to come back together after this awful tragedy.

Lastly, suspicions arose about how one aluminum plane could destroy a one hundred and four floor, steel building.

“The massive core columns of the World Trade Center were anchored to bedrock. Thirty-one of the columns were 36-by-16-inch box shaped columns made of two-inch thick solid steel at the foundation. Sixteen of the columns measured 52 inches by 22 inches triple thick steel boxes that were 5 inches thick at two ends matched perpendicularly with one 6 ½-inch and two 6-inch thick slabs of steel.” (9/11 Planes Hoax)

This made it impossible for the impact of the plane to completely collapse the building. There was about 10,000 gallons of jet fuel that could have been ignited by a small flame to help aid the destruction of the building. (1) Without an explosive it was not physically possible for the plane to do what it did.

            The conspiracy theory with the most evidence is actually a combination of two of them. That George W. Bush was a part of the September 11,2001 terrorist attack and that Al-Qaeda hijacked the airplanes. There were too many factors that Bush just ignored in order for the attack to happen. If he had not ignored them then there would have been more security in the airports, at the World Trade Center and at the pentagon. They would have caught the hijackers before they made it through the airport. Therefore, George W. Bush aided the process that the Al-Qaeda hijackers went through in order for the attack to happen.

            In a recent survey it was found that many United States citizens have opposing views on what happened on September 11, 2001. Some believe it was George W. Bush while others are so offended by that question even being brought up. The results were that 9 out of 20 people said George W. Bush had a hand in the event and 11 out of 20 people said no h did not.

So, on September 11, 2001 when many individuals lost their lives, some lost their friends and others lost their family members. Also, work force member’s lives were taken when they were trying to serve our country. Since then this mass murdering caused many conspiracies to arise:

4.      Did Al-Qaeda high jack the airplanes?

5.      Was Bush involved with this? Was it an inside job?

6.      “Aluminum Planes Can’t Penetrate Steel Structure Of World Trade Center” (The 11 most compelling 9/11 Conspiracy Theories)

Although, there are many conspiracies about this event the conspiracy with the most evidence is a combination of two. George W. Bush had a hand in the event that occurred on September 11, 2001 while Al-Qaeda did the physical work and high jacked the planes.
